Stand Up Paddle Tour/Lesson – Spectacular Location, Includes Lesson and Tropical Fruit Picnic

Overview

This adventurous trip will have you learning to Stand Up Paddle in the wilderness of the Blackwood River National Park. No experience necessary – it’s easy! Whether it’s your first time or you have paddled before, this tour is great for getting you out on the water.

What to Expect

Expect to learn lots of new skills and safety knowledge all while enjoying the surrounding scenery and wildlife. Practice your new skills within the sheltered waters of the Blackwood River in a scenic National Park setting. We have a maximum of 10 people per instructor so you'll get the best expert instruction and guidance.

Activity Details

Get setup with your board and paddle then take part in a safety briefing and coaching info session on the beach at picturesque Chapman Brook.

Then you will set off along the Chapman Brook on your knees while learning to steer.

It's time to Stand Up and learn the basics of Stand Up Paddle technique as we reach the open stretch of the scenic Blackwood River. Travel through the twists and turns of the Blackwood River as you work on your paddling skills.

It truly feels like the wilderness, without a house to be seen, and there is often wildlife such as eagles, waterbirds and fish.

Enjoy a delicious, healthy tropical fruit picnic on the banks of Chapman Brook after Stand Up Paddling.

Other things to do in the National Park and further south after the conclusion of the tour:

After the tour concludes and your guide departs, you may want to have a bbq lunch with the gas BBQ's supplied in the National Park, and maybe a bush walk along the Chapman Brook. Please note that this is not part of the tour so if you want to do this you will need to bring your own food and supplies to cook a BBQ.

There are also lots of places to visit and sights to see if you decide to continue your day out heading further south of Margaret River. Such as Boranup Forest, Hamely Bay beach and stingrays, Augusta and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.
